Taking family photos can be a magical experience or a little nerve-wracking if it’s your first time. Whether you’re new to professional photography, new to Arizona, or just wanting to refresh your family’s memories with beautiful portraits, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I love meeting clients who share details about themselves, their kids, and their families. The more I learn about your style, personalities, and what makes your family unique, the better I can help you relax and be natural in front of the camera. Sharing a bit about yourselves helps me capture genuine moments that truly reflect your story. I truly enjoy hearing those stories.

I have an extensive list of beautiful outdoor and indoor locations around Phoenix, Ahwatukee, Chandler, Scottsdale, Gilbert, and beyond. I can help you find or choose the perfect spot for your session. If you are unsure of what style or background you want just let me know. I love making suggestions. I also have sample images of some of my favorite spots and settings. We can review ideas together to match your vision. Whether you prefer scenic desert views, lush greenery, or cozy indoor spaces, I have many options to fit your style.

Arizona’s heat can seem intimidating at first, but with a little preparation, it’s no problem. My studio is typically the best option between the months of June and September when the weather is hottest, but if we shoot outdoors during the summer, remember to stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing, and bring lots of water and a cooling towel or some ice in a cooler to stay comfortable. Waterproof makeup can help with sweating, and I recommend wearing good footwear suitable for desert terrain no matter the season. Fall and winter are popular times to enjoy the desert.  The gorgeous cooler temperatures and beautiful light make outdoor shoots especially magical. Since most AZ photographers tend to book up at least two months in advance during this busy season (including me) I recommend planning ahead. Currently, I am booking up to seven months in the future, but I’ll always try to accommodate last-minute requests when possible. Booking early ensures you get the date and time that works best for your family’s needs. No matter how soon you're hoping to do these, please reach out to me. I will always try and squeeze you in, if I'm able to.

Thinking about your home decor and personal style is a smart first step in selecting what to wear for your session. If you plan to display your photos on a traditional wall, more formal clothing and minimalist tones often work best. If your decor is light and cozy, relaxed clothing with softer colors is a great choice. I am always happy to offer styling tips if you’re unsure. Feel free to send me pictures of your home or inspiration images. I love sharing my insights on what will look great in your space and help your photos match your style perfectly.

Finally, to make sure your session goes smoothly, please share your preferences before or at the beginning of your shoot. If there is a prop or feature you are insecure about or really want to highlight, tell me. I am not easily offended and fixing things in person is much easier than editing afterward. I use a natural style of editing to enhance your best features while keeping your photos authentic. If there is something specific you want me to emphasize or feature, just let me know. I will ensure your images are beautiful and personalized in the way you want.
